On February 4, 2014 our lives drastically changed when my husband Rev. Tim Benninghoff had a severe stroke leaving him paralyzed on the left side. I have been caring for him since then. We had always lived in personages and was living in one at the church he was serving. We had to move out by July of that year. After spending about four months in the hospital and rehab we needed to find a place to live. Our daughter and family have allowed us to share their very small house putting 8 people total in cramped quarters. We have the living room because that is the only way we can get into the house with my husband's wheelchair. He is transferred to his hospital bed using a Hoyer lift. After 3+ years the time has come for us to find a place to live on our own. I am unable to work due to caring for my husband. We have exhausted all our retirement savings and the bills are piling up. I was hoping to get a loan to pay the credit card debt that has been piling up but have no collateral since we have no home. The Lord has blessed us and cared for us and I trust that He will continue to do so. I pray that if God chooses to use other people to help us that will be of His choosing. I thank anyone who is able to help and I know you will be blessed by God for your generosity. It is very difficult for me to ask for help, but I am trying this as a last resort. If no one is able to help I have to trust that God has other plans for us. Please pray about this matter and let the Lord be your guide. God bless.
