A Ben Nevis Challenge for BPA's Outdoor Learning
Spende geschützt
Hello! It's Miss Lewis here!
At Brockworth Primary Academy, I'm passionate about building a brand new outdoor learning area. This project has been a fantastic team effort, with fundraising, planning, and even some amazing volunteers. But to really make this outdoor haven soar, we need a little extra boost.
So, here's where things are getting a little wild! This August, I'm taking on a HUGE challenge in the breathtaking Scottish Highlands! I'm not just hiking Ben Nevis, the UK's highest peak (1,345 meters!), but I'm also scrambling (think climbing with minimal ropes) across the notorious Tower Ridge – a difficult Grade 3 route. After a full day of pushing myself to it's limits... there is no rest! I will be wild camping, protecting myself from the seasonal midges and fluffy cows.
Don't worry, though! To ensure this adventure is safe and monitored, I'll be joined by my dad, Craig, a seasoned mountaineer and rock climber with years of experience.
Why am I putting myself through this? Because every step, every climb helps provide more resources and therefore opportunities for our fantastic outdoor learning area that will benefit our students for years to come!
Stay tuned for more details on how you can sponsor my challenge and help us reach new heights (literally!) for BPA's outdoor learning area! My one way flight is booked and my practice in underway...
Every contribution, big or small, will make a huge difference. Please click and share. THANK YOU and wish us luck!
