Here We Go! - Swimming for the Crisis Nursery

I used to take a lot for granted. Maybe it is just the process of getting older. I feel so lucky to be a part of Rotary. Rotary provides me with the opportunity to help others. We do a lot of hands-on services, but we also raise money, which goes directly to the Charity - With no administration fees.

For the 5th year, Sacramento Rotary is raising money for the Crisis Nursery. The Crisis Nursery is one of the most impactful charities in Sacramento. The Crisis Nursery protects our most vulnerable children by offering a safe, supportive environment during times of crisis. In addition, the Crisis Nursery reduces incidents of child abuse and decreases family violence by providing a safe place for children and support services to adults.

I will be heading up to Lake Natoma to swim 2 miles. Then I will play nine holes of golf. Finally, to round out the tri-"athalon" I will be playing with the Rotary Rockers Band on October 1, 2022!

Save October 1 for the big party on Capitol Mall in Sacramento.
