Help Save G4 My Little Pony

For years now, I’ve been a huge fan of G4 My Little Pony. Its fantastical setting, intelligent writing, wholesome life lessons, and relatable characters have given me a much-needed escape, as well as new friendships and experiences I never would’ve had otherwise. I can honestly say that it’s made me the happiest I’ve been in a long time.
Sadly, I find that Hasbro, Inc. has grossly mishandled G4 in recent years. The final season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was so contrived, inconsistent, and disappointing that it makes the show feel all but ruined, and the products and media that have since acknowledged and built on said season haven’t made it any better. As if that wasn’t bad enough, FiM’s spinoff series Equestria Girls was canceled without getting a proper ending of its own, and many popular, high-quality G4 toys and merchandise have been discontinued. I believe this is a great disservice to G4, its fans, and the MLP franchise in general, and that it should be corrected.
For that reason, I created Save My Little Pony, a fan campaign to convince Hasbro to give G4 another chance and a better ending. This would involve partially revising Season 9 of FiM and relevant subsequent products and media; renewing EG for a third digital season and additional television specials, including a definite series finale; bringing back some discontinued G4 products and making new ones that complement the new/revised media. Given G4’s remarkable success and popularity, as well as the fact that Hasbro’s net earnings and profit margins peaked when G4 did and have declined since FiM and EG ended, I have no doubt that this would be a lucrative venture for them. My fellow campaigners and I have been sending letters and emails to their executives explaining as much, but they have yet to write back.
In light of this, I intend to purchase enough Hasbro stock to submit what this campaign is pushing for in a shareholder proposal and bring it to a vote in as short a time as possible. If they’re going to ignore the requests of fans who have no stake in the company, perhaps they’ll be more open to these ideas if they come from within. According to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), I must continuously hold at least $2,000 worth of company securities for at least three years; $15,000 for two years; and $25,000 for one year before I’m eligible to submit and vote on shareholder proposals, though I’ll need quite a bit more than that when considering fluctuating returns and stock prices, brokerage fees, and taxes. Unfortunately, I don’t have that kind of money myself, which is where this fundraiser comes in.
I humbly ask you, my fellow Save MLP campaigners, to donate as much and as often as you can if you really want to see G4 MLP get the justice it deserves like I do. This is probably our best shot at making that happen. I’ll use the funds raised to buy stock and keep you all updated on my progress once I start doing so. I’ll even contribute as much of my own money whenever possible, including whatever returns I earn as a shareholder. If our campaign is successful, we’ll finally get to enjoy all the new/revised media and new/rebooted products for G4 that we’ve been asking for, and I’ll be grateful to all of you, my friends.
