Helping the one that helped you!

We all know this amazing and wonderful woman as Jennifer White (formerly Jennifer Clarkson).

I have no doubt that if she has ever been a part of your life, she has done something to make you feel special, loved or given you some belly laughs each time you see her.

On August 9, 2023, Jenny and her family received the devastating news that she has stage 3 Squamous Cell Carcinoma (in her lungs).

Initially, an operating room was booked, to cut the cancer out but upon further testing, it was found that she has a lymph node pressing on her trachea as well as her heart, which made the surgery impossible to be done safely.

On top of this life-altering news, Jenny was also told that she has ILD. This is lung disease that causes scarring which makes it difficult to breathe and get oxygen to the bloodstream. Due to the effects of ILD, which is a result of the medication that her body requires for her severe arthritis, this puts her body at a disadvantage while fighting during treatment.

Jenny will go through 6 weeks of both Chemo and Radiation, consecutively.

She will be receiving her treatment through the London Regional Cancer Program, which is more than a 2 hour drive from home for her……..this is where we all come in!

I would like to create a “piece of mind fund”, for Jenny and her family. If you know Jenny, she doesn’t EVER want to “put anyone out”, ……but she’s in a position where this isn’t in her control right now because “life happens”. It is my hope that we can all alleviate some of the financial stress for her and her family so that she can focus all of her thoughts and strength on getting better.

If you are in a position to help Jenny, this would help pay for the fees associated with staying in London during her treatment, it would also make it possible for her husband Ed and their fur babies to be with her during this vulnerable time in her life. We all know about her insatiable love of animals:)

The doctors are optimistic and Jenny's infectious optimism is shining bright like always. Let’s all pull together to get this amazing human well again!
