Helping Craig Shaftic with Medical Costs

Our dear family friend, Craig Shaftic, was diagnosed in April 2021 with Chronic Myleiod Lukemia (CML).

CML is a type of cancer that starts in certain blood-forming cells of the bone marrow. Targeted therapy drugs are the main treatment for CML, however the cost of a 30 day supply of medication is $3800, and that is the copay with insurance. This medication (tasigna) is a necessity for Craig to battle this disease, however with daily living expenses he is stressed monthly with trying to come up with the funds to afford his next dose.

Craig is a wonderful friend, devoted father, motorcycle enthusiast, dedicated employee and veteran. He entered the army In 1990 and completed 6 years of service with an honorable discharge. During his time in the army he was stationed in Vilseck, Germany and Fort Stewart, GA. He has worked for Frontier for over 25 years and is still working daily, despite his extreme illness because he is desperately trying to afford the medication needed to treat his Cancer.

We have created this gofund me in an attempt to help Craig relieve some of the stress, because as we all know, stress isn’t good for an already ailing immune system.

No donation is too small, any amount will help to relieve some of Craig’s stress and give him hope.
