Hi! My name is Nikki. I am the dog mom of Zeke. Anyone who knows Zeke knows he's an active, happy puppy who loves to eat his food, run, jump, socialize, play and climb the biggest rocks he can find. Zeke isnt even 5 months old yet and hes already so smart and has grown so big. These past two weeks Zeke has been pretty sick. Zeke has not been able to play, not eating all of his food, Zeke can hardly walk nevermind run. Hes spending a lot of time sleeping and when hes awake hes crying. He has had multiple vet visits so far with 2 of them being at the ER Vet twice in 1 day. X-rays are negative and they initially thought it was a soft tissue injury but he has progressively gotten worse. Hes had a tick panel blood draw that was negative. He had repeat xrays, more labs drawn for infections, cancers and also addisons disease. Labs are still pending, but it is looking like Zeke has a spinal cord injury, cerebellar hypoplasia, or meningitis. The best way we can find out what is going on is to get a sedated MRI. The cost of that is $6,000 and i just dont have that upfront. Pet insurance has already labeled this as a pre-existing condition and will not cover anything or future costs related to this. My dog mama heart is shattered for this sweet, little guy, hes just a baby. I NEVER ask ANYONE for money or help out of my pride and being able to fend for myself, but I am desperate for help for my sweet puppy. I just want my happy, goofy, puppy back and I am grasping at any glimmer of hope for him. Zeke will thank you with kisses and hugs as thats just about all he can do right now.
