Hi, my name is Yu. I’m a full time working single mom of an 8-year-old girl doing my best to stay stable after a separation.

Over a short period of time, I had to cut off a source of financial support abruptly and quickly had to transition to fully supporting myself and my child on my own. At the same time, I have not received child support for the past 8 months even though I have been consistently following up with DCHS. I work full-time but my paycheck alone barely covers the rent.

I am struggling to pay for living expenses from this abrupt change in my finances.

Anything helps to bridge the gap until I get through this transition period and maintain a stable home for my child.
