Help with Colten-Jeriah's Medical Bills

Aloha family and friends,
As many of you know, Colten-Jeriah is currently being treated by a specialist at Kaiser Moanalua Hospital on Oahu and has to remain there for the foreseeable future.
After multiple doctors and hospital visits over the last month, Krystal and Chavez were told many times that Colten’s symptoms were caused by “allergies”, and that the swelling in his eyes, face, hands, feet, and abdomen would eventually go away.
This never sat right with his parents or family members. We could tell that clearly something was wrong.
Finally at the demands of his parents, Colten’s pediatrician ran a blood and urine test and diagnosed Colten with Nephrotic Syndrome.
This is a rare disorder of the kidneys. Due to the damage his kidneys have undergone, they are no longer filtering protein back into his blood so it's leaving his body through his urine.
This protein’s main function is ensuring the body doesn’t build up excess fluids. Because the protein was no longer in his system, fluid started building up around various parts of his body. This is what had caused Colten so much discomfort and swelling over the last month.
Nephrotic Syndrome is NOT CURABLE. This will be something Colten will have to deal with his whole life. Yet we're praying for total and complete healing.
Colten and his family must adapt to a new lifestyle. He will now need to follow a diet to accommodate his body’s inability to process certain foods properly.
Although some relief was found when we got an actual diagnosis for Colten, there are still many things this small family will need help with.
As her ohana, we are seeking your support with a small portion of the financial burden that has fallen on this young family. She is currently pregnant with her second child and the stress of carrying and taking care of Colten has taken a toll, we are forced to rely on the support of our friends and family to come to this family’s aid. We have confidence & faith that God and the people He has put into their lives will see this young family through their hardships.
Any monetary donations are greatly appreciated at this time and will go towards:
-Emergency Room bills
-Ambulance costs
-Airplane MEDIVAC
-Hospital stay from December 3rd to now
-Nutritional Specialist assistance for Colten’s new dietary restrictions
- Flight costs for Chavez to fly back and forth to be with his son and still try to work to support his family.
Please allow Krystal and Chavez’s full attention go toward getting their son the care he needs by relieving some of the worries they face financially. Thank you and God bless you all!
