Hello,

My name is Viviane, though most know me as Vi or Vivi. I am a 26-year-old Latina trans woman, and I've lived in Gainesville, FL for over 7 years. Most who know me closely, know that I have been struggling to maintain stability and security with my living essentials; I was evicted back in November 2020, forced to move to a different house in March 2021, and once again forced to relocate on August 1st because my landlord will be selling my current house at the end of the month. I initially planned to move with my partners, Veronica and Sammy, to New York at the beginning of September. Unfortunately, due to a difficult search for homes, we will be postponing it to October, and I will be temporarily relocating to Huntsville, AL to live and work with Sammy as we continue to search for a home together.

Because of these additional setbacks and changes since the initial posting of this campaign, I opted to request more help on this page’s goal, and make it a total of 5,000, as opposed to the original 4,000. The amount raised to this point has been instrumental and essential in keeping me housed and fed through the month of August, as well as growing the fund that we’re building to find a home for ourselves, and our new family. I can’t overstate how grateful and thankful I am to all who have donated. Your help has continuously made all of that possible.

I deeply appreciate every single person who has extended any support to me at any point. It's sad to look back on this past year as the most undoubtedly difficult one for me to survive, but the gratitude and love I feel for everyone who has uplifted me and stood beside me continues to strengthen me.
