PLEASE HELP Vincent Garcia Overcome His Medical Challenges

UPDATE Aug.1, 2024:: A month ago that I updated, we were nearing time for Vincent's surgery. He has since gone through not one, but 3 excruciatingly long surgeries, plus 2 other type of pre-operatiom procedures. We were originally told his tumor, JNA, was non-cancerous but when the Dr's were done and pathology report came back, not only was the type of tumor incorrect, but is cancerous. He spent a week and a half in NeuroICU, another week or so in another room and several follow up appointments. A month away from home and his cats. Very hard to be away from family. Getting around, housing, groceries and/or doordashing, taxi etc very expensive. He's slowly recovering, has some rehabilitation therapy and speech therapy to undergo. BUT it doesn't stop there. He will need to go back out of state to undergo radiation treatments that are not done in NM and he'll have to be gone another month. To say the cost is astronomical is putting it mildly. UPDATE 7.1.2024

As the days tick away to Vincent's surgery date, we are grateful for the milestone of his 18th birthday celebration . Some of his classmates celebrated with him swimming, frito pies and snacks, and sodas and of course a birthday cake . It was such a nice way to show him support before he undergoes his surgeries. Thank you to all his friends who came to celebrate and bring him a fun time.

We want to take this time to thank you for sharing this post and others to help Vincent raise funds during these months for his caring expenses etc.

May God's blessings reach each of you for your kindness and generosity.

Please continue to keep him and his family in your prayers for safe travels, ease of surgeries, complete recovery and for Vince to live a beautiful, healthy and prosperous life.

UPDATE: 6.25.2024

Vincent's surgery is scheduled to be done in phases beginning July 8th, then 9th and 12th.

With God's grace and mercy, he will heal from this and come home late July, or August sometime.

We want to ask you prayer warriors to continue to keep him, his momma, and the surgical team in your prayers as he undergoes these surgeries. Thank you to each and everyone of you for your kindness, donations, and prayers. We know that through God, all things are possible and prayers are absolutely powerful.

UPDATE 6.8.2024: We have a surgery date of July 12th with check in July 10th. Vincent will be in the hospital for 3 weeks afterward.

Just a quick UPDATE: Still waiting for Seattle Drs to schedule surgery dates. The waiting and uncertainty is difficult. BUT God is good and we know that our hito will be in good hands.

We continue ask for your help and support as his medical costs continue to rise.

TODAY'S UPDATE: Hi family and friends. Just a quick update on Vincent's surgery. My daughter was told that his surgery will not be done at UNMH in Albuquerque as we'd hoped. He is being referred to Seattle, WA. This comllplicates things a little and makes the financial need more crucial.

Hi, the DeVargas/Martinez family is seeking donations for our grandson/nephew, Vincent Garcia. Vincent is a 17 yr old Junior at Espanola Valley High School. He's an avid gamer, loves his 2 cats Dave & Oliver, adores his mom and enjoys hanging out with his friends. He was recently diagnosed with Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma (non-cancerous tumor). He has to go through surgery that will be about 20 hrs with a large team of surgeons.

The money donated is for medical, travel, and living expenses while Vince is in the hospital. He'll be in the hospital approximately 3 weeks, and a lengthy recovery, many follow up appointments and time mom will be out of work making this request necessary.
