Help Us Save the Military Records: Year 2

To preserve the documentary heritage of the lineage of the 5th (BC) Field Artillery Regiment, RCA (the 5th) and the men and women who served, for the benefit of present and future generations. And, to collect and preserve the documentary history of coastal artillery on the West Coast of Canada for the benefit of present and future generations.

This project is part of the 5th (BC) Artillery Regiment RCA Foundation a registered charity in Canada.

Objectives of the project:

• Implement an online archives system

• Digitise the records including photos and maps

• Make the records publicly available

In Phase 1 we are archiving the necessary hardware and software, preparing the records and digitizing some of the most important photos and maps and key collections of records.

Year 1 saw us successfully acquire the software and some of the hardware and conduct some training.

Year Two:

• Acquire the rest of the hardware $5,500

• Digitization $3,500
