Help Us Save Drogo’s Life

Hi everyone,

Our names are Shelby and Pat. We’re reaching out with a heavy hearts to ask for support for our beloved 5 year old Cane Corso, Drogo.

If you know him at all, Drogo is more than just our dog he’s our best friend, our protector, and a cherished member of our family. Over the past few days, Drogo has become very sick with a severe and unknown respiratory condition that’s caused significant difficulty breathing, extreme fatigue, and distress. Despite multiple rounds of bloodwork, imaging, and medications, his condition has continued to deteriorate.

Drogo is currently hospitalized in an oxygen cage, fighting for every breath. He’s undergoing aggressive treatment including IV antibiotics, steroids, fluids, and oxygen therapy.

We’ve performed an endotracheal wash and advanced diagnostics to try to uncover what’s causing this. We’re still waiting for cultures and PCR results to tailor his treatment and hopefully give him a chance to fully recover.

This has been one of the most emotionally and financially difficult experiences of our lives. We’ve already accumulated over $25000 in emergency visits, testing, medications, and now inpatient care and his journey is still far from over. Every day he remains in the hospital adds more to the growing bill, but we refuse to give up on him.

Drogo is a strong, loving, drooly goofy soul who still has so much life left in him. He’s been incredibly brave through this entire ordeal, and we know in our hearts he’s fighting to stay here with us. We just want to do everything we can to give him that chance.
