Hi there!
My name is Belle Winner and I am the Director of the short documentary film, “Food For Thought” (working title). Right now, my team and I are in the process of taking this film into production, but we need your help to bring this story to life!
About
This documentary focuses on the connection between the experience of cooking and an improvement in a person's mental well-being. The story follows a young woman, struggling with anxiety and ADHD, through one of her toughest experiences and how she uses cooking as a way to overcome her mental obstacles.
Why this Topic?
I chose this topic because it is one that is personal to me. Cooking has helped me cope with my ADHD and anxiety in many different ways. This experience has completely changed the way I view cooking. Instead of seeing it as something I have to do, it is now something that I want to do and I hope this story inspires others to change their mindset about cooking too.
Our Mission
We want to shed light on mental health in a realistic way and help people realize that even something as simple as cooking can be used as an outlet to improve your mental wellbeing. We also want to inspire people to change their mindset about the experience of cooking. When you take the time to appreciate the versatility of each simple ingredient and watch how these humble flavours transform through the process of cooking, the experience becomes truly enjoyable.
