Help Us Honor Ráenee West-Selby's Legacy

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

(Edit; My Angel Mama got her wings 1:47am 10/18/2024 with myself, her sister Marcy, and her best friend in the world Nancy, holding her and telling her she is so incredibly loved and we are all gonna take care of each other. )

It is with heavy hearts that we share that our beautiful mother, Ráenee West-Selby, is nearing the end of her battle with liver cancer. She has been in hospice care in our home for 3 days now as her condition worsens. Surrounded with love. Her strength, love, and resilience throughout this journey have been inspiring to all of us.

Our Mama is the epitome of unconditional love. Her love knows no bounds. She's the only constant we've ever known. She's always put her children and grandchildren first! If anyone deserved the world, it's her. And I wish I could have given it to her.

She’s had to fight against her body most her life, being so young at the time of her first run in with cancer, leading into many agonizing years of numerous other cancers riddling her body. 100's of surgeries. Years of seizures. Being wheelchair bound for several years, and then overcoming! She's the strongest woman I've ever known. She's proved doctors wrong time and time again. She's an absolute warrior. Life has been so unfair to her.

In may, I was faced with the hard decision to quit my job to offer my mother the care she needs and deserves, as well as take care of my own personal medical needs in these heavy times. In doing so, income has been close to none, leading to some financial hardships in terms of planning a funeral fit for our beloved mother.

As we prepare to say our final goodbyes, we are faced with the overwhelming emotional and financial burden of planning her departure. Unfortunately, the cost of her care and end-of-life arrangements is beyond our current means, and we are reaching out to you for help.

We humbly ask for donations to help cover the costs of her funeral and give her the dignified farewell she deserves. And any last requests she desires. Any amount you can contribute will make a difference and ease some of the financial stress during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support. We appreciate every contribution, big or small, as we work to honor our mother’s memory in the best way we can.

Life is so short. Hug your loved ones. Let go of your grudges & live life to the fullest you can

With gratitude,
Her 4 children; David (Anthony), Michael, myself, Keeanna
And her 11 grandchildren
And so many more that love her.
