Today, our family suffered the unexpected loss of our father, Frank C. Caputo—a loving father, an honorable man, and a lifelong servant to his family, community, and country.
Frank dedicated his life to protecting and serving others in many ways. He served 25 years with the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police, 19 years as a Sergeant in the Military Police in the Army Reserve, and proudly served as a Seaman in the United States Coast Guard. In addition to his public service, Frank was a Sea Captain, spending his adult life at the helm of his beloved vessel, the SS Snugglespus—a role that reflected his independence, leadership, and love of the sea.
Beyond his professional and military service, Frank was deeply committed to his community as Cub Master for Cub Scouts of America Troop 234, where he mentored, guided, and inspired young people with integrity, discipline, and compassion.
He leaves behind four adult children; his youngest son, Michael Caputo, who lives with cerebral palsy. Frank was Michael’s primary caregiver and the person Michael relied on every day for safety, stability, and care.
With our father’s sudden passing, Michael is now without the care he depended on. Our immediate and urgent goal is to transport Michael safely to New Jersey, where he can be placed in a care facility near his sisters. There, Michael will be able to receive the long-term care he needs while remaining close to family.
At the same time, our family is facing the unexpected financial burden of funeral and burial expenses. This loss came without warning, and we are not financially prepared to cover these costs along with Michael’s transportation and relocation.
We are humbly asking for help during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation—no matter the amount—will help with:
Funeral and burial expenses for Frank C. Caputo
Safe transportation of Michael to New Jersey
Initial placement and care expenses for Michael
Your generosity will help us honor our father’s remarkable legacy of service while ensuring that Michael is safe, supported, and cared for. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during our family’s time of need.
