My daddy was a very simple man, he didn’t have much but what he had he was willing to share with anyone he met. And he did just that, he wasn’t perfect but if there was ever a man who walked the walk of Christ, loved the most unloved, washed the feet of those who burdened others, and gave of himself so others would prosper, it was him. I have never met a person in my entire life who was so willing to do without so others could have more.
After his back surgery and complications from it he wasn’t able to continue working as a mechanic so things like life insurance and savings were no longer able to be maintained.
Even despite his health problems, he was the primary provider and caretaker of his wife, Darlene, some friends, And a lot of strangers…because my dad gave anything he had to help anyone he met. He didn’t need to know their story or their intentions, he just loved people and did what he felt God would want him to do.
This week our family received devastating news that my daddy had passed away after a battle with pneumonia, this loss is compounded with the financial strain of losing someone without life insurance to help cover the expenses that come with death.
A lot of you have asked how you can support us during this time, and after much debate and defiantly not in my dads style, we are reaching out and asking for help for ourselves so we can best support my mom during this time.
