I’m raising funds to help complete and bring Cold Arrival to a wider audience.
Cold Arrival is a 8-episode scripted drama-comedy created and directed in Winnipeg by filmmaker Oluwatosin Ayilara and produced by Kreglex Productions. It follows immigrants building new lives in Winnipeg — navigating work, identity, culture, relationships, financial pressure, and the everyday realities of starting over in a new country. You can find out more at www.coldarrival.com
This is more than a film project for us. It is a story about people who leave behind what is familiar and try to find belonging somewhere new. Winnipeg is not simply our backdrop; the city is part of the story. We want audiences to see the humour, struggle, resilience and warmth within immigrant life — stories that are often discussed, but rarely told from this perspective.
Principal photography is complete, and the series is now in its final stages. Our Winnipeg premiere is scheduled for November 20, 2026, with plans to pursue broader distribution afterward.
Your donation will help move Cold Arrival from production into a finished, professionally presented and distributed series. Funds will go toward final post-production and delivery, including colour finishing, sound mixing/mastering, music and other finishing costs, promotional materials, festival and distribution submissions, marketing and audience outreach.
Every contribution matters. $25 helps. $50 helps. $100 helps. Larger contributions can help us tackle major finishing and distribution costs. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser with someone who believes in independent film, newcomer stories or Canadian storytelling is equally valuable.
We are building this independently, and every person who contributes becomes part of the journey of Cold Arrival.
Thank you for believing in this story, supporting independent Canadian filmmaking, and helping us take Cold Arrival the rest of the way — from Winnipeg to audiences beyond it.
