**UPDATE**
I want to thank all of those who have donated thus far. It is greatly appreciated and all donations will be given to the Fosters and Paws organization, who helps get strays, like Ms. Tyson, the medical treatment they need so they have the opportunity to be put up for adoption and find loving homes.
Now onto the update! Firstly, we discovered that Tyson is actually a female, so she now goes by Ms. Tyson! After we took her in, we were able to get her medical treatment to partially close the wound up, get her antibiotics for her infection, as well as get treated for fleas, dehydration, and anemia. This left her with an open wound on her face that we are currently tending to by providing her with antibiotic ointment on the wound three times a day. She went back to the vet a second time this past Friday (02/23) and they were able to close the wound even more! However, they discovered that she also has a fractured jaw as a result of being hit by a car. She will be going back next week to address the new situation and possibly remove some teeth. However, she has been eating and drinking so perfectly, we had no idea that she had this issue. She is still the affectionate, loving cat that we feel in love with and now even more so. She is still recovering, so she has mostly been relaxing and sleeping, but her recovery process is going so well we couldn't be anymore excited for her.
I again want to thank everyone for their donations thus far, and a huge thank you to Fosters and Paws for helping Ms. Tyson get her the treatment she most definitely needed. Hi, my name is Sam and this little guy is Tyson. I found him today and as far as we know, he has been like this for at least 4 days, maybe more. He is such a sweet and affectionate cat who loves being pet and cuddled. Currently, he is still walking, eating, and drinking water, which seems like a good sign. We are taking him to the Sacramento SPCA Hospital tomorrow morning to get him help. Unfortunately, I do not have the funds to help get him fixed and I really do not want to see him be put down. Please help me raise funds to save him and give him a better life than he's already had.
If we meet our goal and are able to save him, we will be adopting him! Any additional funds received will be donated to the SPCA to help other injured animals fighting for their lives like Tyson is.
We named him Tyson because he is a fighter; he kept surviving even after his injury, so I know he will continue fighting during recovery as well.
