Help Ty and Irie Reclaim Their Car

Thank you all for taking time to visit and support my gofundme! My name is Tyisha but I go by Ty for short and I’m so grateful for all the help and support my son and I have received so far!

In September of 2024, I had lost my full time job in which my income went from $4,800 a month to $1,600, and mind you, my rent is $1,795. By the grace of God, my landlords worked with me so my son and I were able to stay at our residence while looking for another full time job. I had been working a full time and a part time so, we still had my part time income to help with other bills but things were getting scary fast. Prior to loosing my job, I had been renting a car for 6 months because my car engine had gone out in April on my way back home from a business conference. All of the income I was making from my part time was going towards a rental car so I was unable to save money. Again, God opened doors and with some help, I was able to come up with the $5K to replace my car engine which eliminated the rental car cost, but then I lost my primary source of income the same month ($3,600). A close friend of mine helped me get another full time in November but because I no longer worked from home, I had to let my part time job go and began looking for a different part time that would fit my new full time schedule. I took a pay cut with this new job and having to let go of my part time. Essentially, I was now 2 months behind on all my bills (including rent). Robbing Peter to pay Paul, I wasn’t able to pay every bill in a months time which is why I got behind on my car payments. My car had been previously repossessed in August of 2024 before replacing my engine because I was so far behind but my bestest friend in the world blessed me with the money to get my car back, I just had to pay off the missed payments and any fees accrued from the repossession .
I was still trying to recuperate from financial hardship after getting her back. I’ve had a couple part time jobs since then, I quit one for another and then my new one let me go the day before my car was repossessed the second time. Since this is the second repossession within a year, they’re now asking that I pay the full balance left owed.

My son and I are in the long run with this last bill, getting our car back. We have 9 days to pay this remaining balance of $10K. I’ve invested $15K into our car, I paid $10K off on my own and then replaced the engine which was a $5K investment. I planned to give this car to my son in 3 years when he starts driving. If we can get our car back, I would be able to catch up with all of my bills and the car would be ours with no more payments. We would be on a good track to healing and also repairing my credit. This is the last biggest bill and so I’m reaching out for help and support. It’s been a journey since my son and I moved out on our own in 2023, we need this last big push. We’re faithful and pray everyday for the support we need. We’ve been so blessed, supported and loved. No one gets anywhere in life without the help others at some point, we’re not the exception, so I’m humbling myself in obedience because faith without works is dead. God has great plans for us!
