We had a housefire at 382 Waitui Road on December 16th. The damage was extensive, especially the smoke damage and while the house is insured, the excess is going to be problematic around Christmas time and is $5,000. I always say that at tough times like these the Hannam Vale / Waitui / Stewarts River community looks after its own which is what makes it such a great place to live. So if you could donate whatever you can (the time of year is difficult foir us all), every little bit will help. This will really help them get back in the house, so the sooner the better as I'm sure it will take a while. Some fire brigade members are also going round on December 27th. to help clean up and help them get things back to normal.
