Help Transform the Lives of Deaf Children in Ethiopia

My name is Fiona and I am running a half marathon in Central Park on 28th April to raise funds for the Ethiopia Deaf Project (EDP/VLM).

EDP/VLM is a small, grass-roots charity dedicated to improving the lives of deaf children and their families in Ethiopia. It has established a vibrant school for in a Ambo, a rural area of Ethiopia, where over 100 kids are currently receiving formal education through Sign Language. These kids were isolated, hidden and unable to communicate, but EDP has provided them and their families with dignity and the chance to reach their full potential in life. It's a remarkable story.

There are many more children who need this type of support, and the school is trying to expand to accommodate them.
