Help to support this new family whilst waiting to come home

Hi name is Sam and the family in the photos are my son Joseph, his partner Carrie and our grandson Alfie.

Joe and Carrie went on holiday last Monday 5.05.25, for their first holiday together... Within 12 hours Carrie began experiencing stomach pain and bleeding - knowing something was wrong Joe called an ambulance, but before they arrived Alfie made his entrance into the world.

Carrie did not know she was expecting, had no symptoms and no signs at all - if anything had even lost weight!

We are lucky it has a happy ending - however they are now having to fund extra accommodation out there and obviously provide for a newborn just the basics have cost £500 for both mum and baby - Alfie has had an infection resulting in a prolonged stay in hospital.

The British consulate have been really helpful guiding me in the UK on what we now need to do and providing translation in Fuerteventura.

We have been advised the process of emergency travel documents for Alfie at a cost of £125 can take weeks and we have to provide accommodation at our own expense - we have booked a further 2 weeks for them in the hopes, however, they were told they could still be there this time next month! We also need to provide new flights eventually.

Joe is self employed so is now in the position he is earning no wages - luckily he will have a job to come home to when he finally lands back in the UK.

Everyone would appreciate any help to assist in the expenses out in Fuerteventura and for getting them home

We are also rushing around here in the UK purchasing all the requirements for a Newborn baby so that when we finally get them home, he has a what he needs.

We are not in the position to finance this ourselves due to health issues.
