Your support helps the Hajjaj family escape from starvation and homelessness in Gaza.
I share with you the story of my family—brave souls caught in the storm of war, struggling every single day just to survive. Our resilience is real, but it is fragile, and we desperately need your help to keep hope alive amid the darkness.
My family consists of 8 members, including me. Many times, we have been displaced, first moving south, then back north, and then displaced again—each time losing more of our stability and safety.
Forced from our home in northern Gaza by relentless bombing, we fled with nothing but the clothes on our backs. Now, we live in a rented shelter that costs $800 a month—an impossible burden in a place where jobs have vanished and prices have soared beyond reason.
My sister Doha is the heart of our family. She is wheelchair-bound, fragile, and depends on ongoing medical care that we can barely afford. Every day, the crushing weight of her treatment costs and the soaring prices of food and water push us closer to despair. Without income, without safety, we face hunger, illness, and the constant fear of losing everything again.
Doha is a young girl living with a severe disability caused by brain atrophy, which affects her ability to move and communicate. She depends on a wheelchair and requires constant medical care and support to manage her condition. Displaced from her home due to the ongoing conflict in northern Gaza, Doha’s situation is made even more difficult by the lack of stable shelter, limited access to healthcare, and the scarcity of essential resources. Her family is doing everything they can to care for her, but they urgently need help to provide the treatment, equipment, and safe environment she deserves.
With your kindness, we can:
- Put food and clean water on our table, in a land where basic necessities have become luxuries.
- Keep a roof over our heads, sheltering us from the cold, the fear, and the endless threat of displacement.
- Ensure Doha receives the vital medical care she needs, giving her a chance at health and dignity.
No donation is too small. Even $1 can provide a meal, a bottle of water, or a dose of medication that could save my sister’s life.
Please, hear our plea. Don’t turn away. Your compassion can be the difference between life and death for my family. In this darkest hour, your generosity is our only hope.
From the depths of our hearts, thank you.
