Hi friends,

On August 3rd, while Kaylee and I were driving, we came across a heartbreaking seen, a female dog lying in the middle of the highway. She had been hit by a car — and to make things worse, she had been left there alone in the pouring rain. She was soaked from the rain, shivering, and in obvious pain. It was clear she had been left there alone.

I couldn’t just drive past. I gently got her into my car and got her to the emergency vet that same night. She was treated and stabilized, but we followed up the very next day for X-rays and further evaluation to understand the extent of her injuries.

She’s incredibly sweet, even after everything she’s been through. It’s like she knows she’s safe now — and I’m doing everything I can to help her heal. But her road to recovery is going to take time, love, and resources.
