On Saturday, August 1, with minutes to spare Lynn, my mom, scooped our animals, precious photos and culture regalia from her many years with Senk'lip theatre in the Okanagan Nation community.

Lynn and my Dad Brett have lived on the Reserve most of their lives, raising kids, guiding grandchildren, growing food and working. My Dad was a firefighter himself for many years and knows too well the dangers fire can bring.

Gone is our home, the playhouse and fairy gardens, the vegetable gardens flourishing this year despite the drought. All their belongings and those of grandchildren and the community that were stored there.

Donations will will help them start the rebuilding of their lives. Immediately buy clothing and basics needs for themselves and their grandson Shion.
