Help the McComb Family Rebuild After Crown Creek Wildfire

Donation protected

You
The McComb Family –Matt, Maggie, Isabella and Louise (their cat)– recently suffered the tragic loss of their home and the entirety of their personal belongings in the Crown Creek wildfire. The fire burned through nearly 15,0000 acres of beautiful forest in northeastern Washington, including 20 acres owned by the McComb family.

The McCombs have worked vigorously over the past few years to make this house into their forever home. I visited them this summer and got to see the property for myself. They have spent countless hours renovating, updating, and beautifying their home and garden to make it into their own. Just as their vision was coming into view, the fire took it all away in a few hours. All they saved was what fit into their car when they evacuated.

Maggie is one of the most honest, hard-working, down-to-earth people I've ever met. The fire also took everything she and her husband used in their home-based business, so they are out of work now too.

The McCombs have already started down the long path toward rebuilding, but it will take years to fully recover. Several of their nearest neighbors also lost their homes, and the community will need to pull together to get through this.

Please help in any way you can! They need our support in this difficult time of need. Matt and Maggie also plan to contribute to the neighborhood as well with funds from this donation campaign.

I am also including a link to their Amazon and Walmart wish lists:

Update 9/24/25:
Today is Matt’s birthday! Maggie’s was last Friday and Isabella’s is coming up on Oct 6th. The McCombs are getting close to finalizing a place to stay for the winter, and are beginning to use funds to purchase essential items. In the next few weeks they are hoping to get temporary power back up at the house, as well as investigate the damage to their well and septic system.
