Maria Trinidad Loya Medina was a loving, hardworking mother of two children, Cristian Enrique Herrera and Valeria Herrera, as well as a wife to Serapio Herrera. Maria was recently taken by ICE agents at the Big 5 parking lot in Albany, Oregon, while shopping in the morning of January 10th, 2026.
After multiple ICE agents surrounded Maria’s 1999 blue Toyota Avalon with their black SUVs, they proceeded to unnecessarily, ruthlessly shatter the driver-side passenger window of her car to get ahold of her. Mind you, she has no criminal record and was just simply buying home necessities. After further investigation, it was found out that these agents were transporting her to the Northwest ICE Processing Center in Tacoma, Washington. She was also the only person taken that day.
Although the repairs for the car are the least of the family’s concerns, it is definitely another financial worry that is on their minds. On December 19th, 2025, Serapio Herrera, the provider of the family, unfortunately developed a small stroke that has prevented him from returning to work in his construction job.
Help the Herrera family during this difficult time they are going through and keep them in your prayers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Remember to stay safe and hold your loved ones close.
