Help the Dorothy, Cynthia, and Jordan Save Their History

My name is Jordan Brown, I’m the grandson of Dorothy Neal, and the son of Cynthia Lopez. On January 8th, the Eaton fire sparked to life, and powered by the strong winds, swept through the quiet community of Altadena. It destroyed our generational home. It was my childhood home, it was my single mother’s childhood home, it was my grandmother’s childhood home.

My family has lost everything. With my grandmother having retired and also unable to use most of her left arm due to injury, and my mother being her support, we are desperate and asking for any help the community can provide. My family does not have a lot. Despite the home having been in the family for 77 years, there is still $70,000 left on the mortgage. Our insurance coverage was not all-encompassing. Donations will be put toward any loss and unmet needs not covered by insurance or disaster relief.

Both my grandmother and mother do not have the networks I do, so I am doing what I can to leverage my community. I don’t even expect to reach the goal, but I have to try regardless.
