On September 11, 2025 Easton Boone and the Boone family received the most unimaginable news any 20 year old kid in the prime of his life could receive: he was told he has cancer. Imagine going about your normal day and receiving a call from your son saying he has been admitted to the hospital while he is away at school and is having tests done to determine if he has cancer. This is news no parent or sibling ever wants to receive. This has been devastating for Easton, his parents, siblings, teammates and everyone that knows Easton.

Easton is entering his Junior year in college and is part of the Avila University Wrestling team, he hasn't been feeling great but in a matter of days not feeling great went to feeling like he had a serious problem. He was taken to the doctors office where they immediately told him to go to the emergency department. The initial suspicions were then confirmed of a cancer diagnosis. Easton has testicular cancer that has spread to his lungs. Easton is starting the fight of his life and will be starting chemotherapy soon.

Daniel and I were fortunate enough to get to know Easton through wrestling, Easton wrestled in high school for Valley Center and then he attended Cloud County Community College and wrestled for the T-Birds. Daniel and Easton became teammates, roommates and overall just great friends before they both transferred to Avila University to continue their wrestling journey. I also work in healthcare and know that the expenses related to cancer treatments can be extensive so my son and I with the permission of the Boone family wanted to reach out to the wrestling community that has always been so supportive in times of need and ask for your help.
