Help the Black Family: Funeral and Family Support
On July 19, 2021, the world suddenly and unexpectedly lost a devoted husband, loving father of five amazing boys, and a loyal friend. Chris Black had a smile that could light up a room and a heart that would brighten the darkest day. While that light is dimmed here on earth, we can rest assured that it is shining brightly in heaven.
Chris worked hard to provide for his beautiful family- his wife, Carla, and five sons, all under the age of 16.. His sudden loss will not only leave a hole in their hearts, but a financial hole as well. With Carla’s blessing, we wanted to give an opportunity for Chris’ friends and family to shower Carla and the boys with love and support. Please consider helping us love on this family. We do not want Carla to have to shoulder the burden of funeral expenses and to navigate her new reality on her own. It takes a village. Join our village. ❤️
Our names are James & Gina Carlson, and we met the Black family when their son played hockey with our daughter, and they have been part of our hockey family ever since. All of the funds raised will be sent to the family to use as needed for funeral and living expenses.
