Help Teneil with her treatment

Teneil Gleason is a Montessori preschool teacher who lives and works in Seattle. In 2017, she started to experience a myriad of seemingly unrelated health issues – migraines, dizzy spells, vomiting and eyesight problems. An MRI at the University of Washington revealed a small gliomas tumor on her brain stem. A second tumor was discovered on her spinal cord and she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma, a rare but treatable form of brain cancer. The tumor in her spine could not be operated upon, so the only options were chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Teneil began bouts of both chemo and radiation therapy in 2017 and they continue today. The radiation treatment requires daily hospital visits, and she is regularly hospitalized overnight due to the side effects.
The good news is that the spinal tumor remains small and that the brain tumor is looking to be operable after a further round of treatment.
The not-so-good news is that these treatments are expensive and prevent Teneil from working more than a couple of days a week. She has some health insurance coverage but is accumulating debt for emergency visits, oncologist appointments and even flights to see specialists.
All proceeds from this effort will go directly to Teneil and will be used to pay medical expenses. Anything you can spare would be much appreciated and will help her through this difficult time to get back to the work that she loves.
