Help support Westin’s Family after tragic incident

Hi, my names is Christi Schreiner and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my sister-in-law and her family to raise money to help with costs after a traumatic incident involving their 2 year old son Westin.
On 8/7/24 Westin suffered a suspicious injury at his daycare center and suffered a spiral fracture to his femur going all the way through the bone and a possible fracture to that foot as well. Westin was rushed to the ER immediately after being picked up from daycare, and then was rushed by ambulance to Children’s Mercy downtown trauma center where he spent 14 hours in unimaginable pain before he underwent surgery and was placed in a spica cast. Due to his cast covering a large part of his body and him being in significant pain, everything from changing diapers to carrying him around the house requires two people. Westin will need round the clock care for the next few months and is currently suffering from insomnia and severe anxiety on top of the intense pain. Their ability to work and income will obviously be impacted during this time, and there’s no guarantee how this next little bit will play out.
