Help Support the Shattuck Shelter

As a researcher and sociologist, I believe that giving back to the community is an essential part of my work. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of spending significant time at the Pine Street Inn: Shattuck Men’s Shelter. I’ve come to know many of the men who live there and the dedicated staff who support them, and this place has become truly special to me.

The Shattuck Shelter is unique—it’s a converted shelter environment, meaning it’s not a traditional shelter with limited beds. Instead, the men living here have secure transitional housing spots until they can find permanent homes. This stability is crucial for them to address both criminal justice barriers and medical needs that are necessary to secure permanent housing.

In lieu of receiving graduation gifts, I would like to make a donation to the Shattuck Shelter to help support the residents and the important work being done there. If you’re able to contribute, your support would mean a lot to me and to those who rely on the shelter.
