We're asking for help for someone incredibly cherished by my family and I.
An adored aunt, wife and sister, Maria Ana Mancita is facing a difficult medical situation in her life at the moment.
Maria Ana Mancita was an elementary school teacher who dedicated her time to teaching children in the provincial town of Pili in the Philippines. In 2017, she was previously diagnosed with breast cancer and overcame it after a successful mastectomy, staying cancer-free for the next 5 years. It was a tough journey and is no doubt one of the most challenging that she's faced and endured. But recently life has thrown another curve ball and one that is taking an emotional toll on everyone. In late 2024 at 46 years of age, my aunt was diagnosed again. This time with primary liver cancer. She has been undergoing treatments and recurrent hospital visits over the year, but her condition is placed as non-operable. There is one more option left which is TACE. Transarterial Chemoembolisation is a targeted treatment and what we hope is the best chance for her to fight back against this viscious cancer. She needs three in total to be completed, amounting to a cost of ₱750,000 (€11,382/$13,118) or more. For my aunt and her family living in the Philippines, this is a big financial strain during an already stressful time.
I know my aunt as a wonder woman that I can and will always proudly call my second mother who helped raised me to be the best version of myself. She's one of the most kindest, strong-willed and resilient people I know and the type of person to show up for others even during her own battles. She never asks for much and has always been an anchor of endless love and support when you need it, but now more than ever, she needs us. That's why we're humbly asking for support to help her through her ongoing treatment and hospital care. If you're able to donate, no matter the amount, it would be deeply meaningful. Every little contribution brings us closer to providing her more time, more life and most importantly, more hope. If you aren't able to give financially, then we ask you to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you very much.
