Help Amy Fight Brain Cancer

UPDATE THREE 1/29
The doctors talked to Amy and Wheat this morning. Not the news we were hoping for, Amy tumor was cancerous. They believe it is stage 2 or 3. They will know more after some additional genetic testing over the next few weeks. She will for sure have radiation treatment, but we won't know about chemo yet. Amy is still not herself and although she understood the diagnosis, her emotional response is not there yet.
This means Amy will need a lot more time away from work and help with basic necessities, care and treatment. If you are inclined, please give to her fund. And PLEASE PRAY FOR AMY AND WHEAT as they and our whole family copes with this news.
UPDATE TWO 1/27
Amy is back in the hospital, they have been here since Saturday evening. Amy couldn't keep any food/water/meds down, and then with her being epileptic it was time to go back to the hospital. She does have some brain swelling, but her brain bleed and her incision from surgery are looking good. They are treating her for everything basically. BP is still elevated and bpms still a little lower. Amy can't really talk or hold a conversation, but she is strong and still kicking ass. She is got a PICC line today to help with blood draws and iv meds. She has been poked countless times trying to get a good vein over the last 2 days, so this was a last resort. Keep sending prayers!
UPDATE!
Good morning friends!
I wanted to give an update on Amy. Her surgery went perfectly on Monday. She was in ICU one night and was moved to a regular room after being alert and able to eat some. Amy has done so well, she was sent home yesterday to recover in her own space. I heard from Wheat this morning that they had a good night and Amy rested well, with the exception of her cats wanting to be all over her. We are thankful that, so far, things are where they should be.
The surgeon said he is confident he got all of the tumor mass, and next comes the pathology. They told the girls that it would take a week to get results. This is where we request continued prayers that the tumor is benign and Amy can heal and move on from this experience.
I will update everyone if anything changes, and when final results are back.
Thank you so much for supporting my cousins during this scary journey.
Sincerely Yours,
Jen Franke

Friends & family, our sweet Amy needs us!
Last month, while undergoing routine imaging for sinus surgery, doctors found a growth in Amy's brain. She was immediately sent for further testing. She saw her doctor this week and was told it is Glioma, a swiftly growing tumor. Due to the nature of the tumor, Amy will undergo surgery to remove the mass next Monday morning. Because the mass is attached to brain tissue, some of that will also be removed. The doctors have prepared Amy for possible changes in her speech and personality. Surgery recovery is expected to be at least four weeks. Depending on the circumstances of the removal, additional treatment and recovery may be needed. That won't be known until her surgery, once they get in there and can see what they are working with.
As you can imagine, this will greatly affect Amy's ability to work and her income. This fundraiser has been set up with Amy's permission, to try and bridge the gap during her surgery and beyond, until she's able to work again. Wheat will continue to work to provide for their household, but additional funds will be needed to help them stay afloat during this crisis.
Amy has been a friend to everyone she has ever met. It is important that we rally around her and Wheat with love and support while they face this crisis. No donation is too small or insignificant. 100% of everything raised will be given to Amy. And if you are the praying kind, keep in mind those are free and welcome!
