As many of you know, Steve has been in the hospital for over a month now, and despite the doctors’ best efforts, they have yet to find out what’s causing his severe illness. This ongoing uncertainty has left him unable to work for almost two months, and as a result, his bills are rapidly piling up.

Steve is one of the kindest, most generous people I know. He’s always been there for others, and now he needs our help more than ever. His medical bills and everyday expenses are becoming overwhelming, and he could really use our support to get through this challenging time.

Here’s a brief overview of Steve’s medical situation:

• Date Admitted: June 24th

• Symptoms: Steve was admitted to the hospital with severe pain in his right hip, back, and joints.

• Tests & Treatments: 

◦ July 5th: Bilateral hip incision and. drainage (I&D)

July 9th: Left shoulder I&D

◦ July 10th: Right lliopsoas abscess drain placement by Interventional Radiology

◦ July 16th: Right gluteal abscess I&D

• Current Status: He was diagnosed with disseminated MSSA bacteremia, septic arthritis, and multiple intramuscular abscesses.

Steve has undergone an extensive rheumatology and immunology workup and has been closely followed by the infectious disease team. Despite all these efforts, his condition is still very serious, and he remains unable to work.
