Backstory: Shayla and her five children had their home destroyed by fire on May 5, 2021 on Campus Way South, in Upper Marlboro, MD. Fire, smoke, and flooding damage has caused them to lose the entire contents of their home. Thankfully the 3 children who where home at the time were able to evacuate the home with their beloved dog, Coco, and sustained no injuries. They will not be able to return to their home and retrieve any of their belongings. This fire was a total lost.
Shayla is a single mother of her 5 children. Her daughter Jazmine was recently diagnosed with Epilepsy and suffers almost daily seizures. Jazmie has had 2 seizures since the fire. Her two sons are both severe asthmatics. The family is currently staying in a hotel, and do not know how long they will need to stay there.
Cost: They need funds to find a new place to live, furnish it, and replace important items lost in the fire.
Thank you so much for donating anything you can for a family that has fallen on hard times. Please share on Facebook or any other social media to help get the word out.
