URGENT: Save Shatha and Her Family in Gaza

Hi everyone! My name is Cordelia. I am an 18 year old college student from Houston, Texas, United States. I am fundraising for my friend, Shatha, from Gaza and her family. Shatha and I are very close friends, and we both aspire to be teachers in the future. In order for Shatha to be able to fulfill this dream, she and her family must evacuate from Gaza and pay for basic necessities like food and water. She needs donations from kind people like you. Here’s what Shatha asked me to share with you all:

“I am Shatha al Hennawi and I'm 18 years old. I'm from Palestine living in Gaza. I have 5 siblings: Alyaa, Shereen, Mohammed, Ahmed and Abed. I am a high school student. I was about to enter the final stage of high school until the war came.

I cannot describe to you how the war destroyed our lives and turned them upside down. We were forced to move more than once. We faced difficulties in obtaining all of the necessities of life including water, food, and shelter, so we were forced to live in tents in cold and hot weather.

What saddens me most is the loss of my academic life, as I was going to move to university after this year. My sister, Alyaa, her children, and her husband died in this war because of Israel. We lost our second mother.

My sister Shereen got married two weeks before the war and is waiting for her first child. We are in tents and there are not enough baby supplies. Her house was bombed at the beginning of the war.

My brother Muhammad lost his house and his elevator company. Ahmed lost his home, and this is very sad. I hope you will help us raise money to leave Gaza.”

I will be donating ALL funds earned directly to Shatha, which she will then use to not only provide necessities to herself and her family, (food, water, baby supplies, etc.), as well as paying the fees to cross through the Rafah border if they are opened again.
