Shane, my good friend and the owner of the Buccaneer shrimp boat, is facing a tough situation. Recently, while working at Crystal Beach, his 60-ton shrimp boat got stuck on the sand. As you can imagine, moving a vessel of that size is no small task, and it’s left Shane in a difficult spot. The Buccaneer is not just a boat—it’s Shane’s livelihood and the way he supports himself and his family.

To get the Buccaneer back in the water, we’ll need to rent heavy equipment, cover the cost of fuel, and pay for the labor required to move such a massive boat. These expenses add up quickly, and it’s more than Shane can handle on his own right now. Every bit of support will go directly toward getting the boat afloat again so Shane can get back to work and continue providing fresh shrimp to our community.
