Just weeks after buying their first home together, this proud single dad took his daughter to a local car event in Beenleigh, something they both loved doing. But as they were walking back to their car, a driver decided to show off with a burnout, lost control, and ploughed into Shane.

The impact left Shane with devastating injuries. A compound fracture to his right leg. His left leg and right foot were badly lacerated to the bone, which is need of skin graphs. His hip was dislocated, and his right arm was broken. Shane has endured countless hours of surgery, with many more still to come. He has months of rehabilitation ahead of him just to begin walking again.
