Help Sean McTearnen on the Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Saturday, September 10th, Sean McTearnen was in a life-changing cycling accident. Sean has been an avid cyclist for many years and is a responsible rider. The accident caused him to be thrown off the bike, suffering a severe spinal cord injury. When he awakened, he was unable to move.
Fortunately, his friend Massimo was cycling with him and immediately called 911. Sean underwent 6 hours of spinal surgery while parts of his spine were removed and replaced with plates. As of now, he cannot feel or move anything below his waist and is trying to cope with this new, harsh reality.
For the foreseeable future, Sean will work tirelessly in rehab to regain mobility and strength in his body. His loving wife and 6 year old son also face a long road ahead in supporting Sean along his journey to recovery.
Months of costly rehabilitation will begin shortly. Any support, big or small, is truly appreciated. We will keep you updated about Sean’s progress and thank everyone who has already reached out to the family with love, prayers and words of encouragement.
