Help Sally Stay Safe and Heal at Home

Our dear friend and teacher, Sally Brooks, was hit by a car on 2/5/26 while walking her doggie, Blooper. We are so grateful she is alive, and while she will require healing time, the injuries thankfully were not horrible. Sally was released to me from the E.R. last night. She has sustained two fractures in her pelvis- one on the anterior side of her hip and one in her sacrum. She is not able to use one of her legs and will be on crutches for quite some time. She is unable to drive, and steps are a nightmare. Sally's apartment has steps to get in and out, and believe me when I tell you (after getting her inside late last night), I do not want her to even consider leaving her home in this weather.

Given that we are in the middle of winter, with the snow and ice, we want to make sure Sally can stay home and take the time she needs to heal. Sally's sole income is from teaching yoga and needs some help to get her through this time. I sat down with her and reviewed her bills, and we have decided to ask the community to help Sally get through the next two months until Spring comes. Please consider helping; your contributions will get her to the other side of this.
