When many of us were winding down after New Year celebrations, one beautiful and happy family’s life was changed forever by a drunk driver and his drunken friends. In the early hours of January 1, 2026, a horrific car accident left eight-year-old Said Abbaszade and his family fighting for their lives. Their car was t-boned and flipped three times, and the force of the crash threw Said out of the back windshield, severing his left leg and causing multiple other injuries. While Said bled on the ground, his sister and parents were also injured, unconscious, and trapped inside the mangled car. Bystanders rushed to help, and Said was taken into surgery in critical condition. We are all very grateful that he is alive, with his birthday only a few days away. Said faces at least three more surgeries and a long road of physical therapy and recovery. He will need a wheelchair at first, and as he grows, he will require new prosthetic limbs to help him walk again. The emotional and financial toll on the family is immense, as both parents and Said’s sister are also recovering from their injuries. We are humbly asking everyone to help Said in his life-long journey to recovery. He will need our full support. Please, donate and help him walk like before. Your kindness and generosity will make a world of difference for Said and his family as they rebuild their lives after this tragedy.
