Our family is reaching out with broken hearts after a devastating fire destroyed the home of my beloved parents and aunties: Emerico “Rico” Magpatoc, Josephine “Joy” Magpatoc, and Felomina Cunningham — all 79 years old — along with Linda Aranas, who is 89 years old.

By God’s grace, everyone made it out safely, and we are deeply thankful for that blessing. But they lost the home that held a lifetime of memories, traditions, family gatherings, laughter, and love.

As a Filipino family, home is everything. It is where meals are shared, grandchildren are welcomed, stories are passed down, and care for one another is rooted deeply in who we are. This home was more than just a house — it was a place of warmth, culture, and family connection built over many decades.

Although they have insurance, it will not cover the full cost of rebuilding and replacing what was lost. There are still many expenses ahead, including temporary housing, clothing, medications, household essentials, furniture, personal belongings, and rebuilding costs.

My parents and aunties have spent their lives caring for and helping others with humble and generous hearts. As they begin the long journey of rebuilding, many friends and loved ones have asked how they can help support our family during this difficult time.
