Help rebuild the Fitrion home in Haiti
Hello my name is Rosie Fitrion and on August 14th 2021, my family’s home in Jacmel Haiti was hit by a 7.2 earthquake.
We initially thought the damages were minor, but in reality this earthquake compounded structural damaged caused earlier by the 2010 earthquake. As a result the roof and concrete walls are flooding and with ever rainfall become increasingly unstable. For fear of colapse, our family has been sleeping on the floor on the entrance of the home and have been relying on the generosity of our neighbours for resources such as food and water.
Damages are estimated at about 10k USD so we are seeking assistance to help pay for these astronomical costs. We’d also like to assist our neighbours with food as they also do not have much and have felt the challenges that come from the earthquake.
Please help in any way you can. If you cannot provide financial assistance we ask that you share this link so we can reach out goal of 20,000 CND.
Thank you
