Help raise money for Jace and his family
Donation protected
Jace Lawhead is an 11 year old boy who is full of life and stays positive in any situation life throws at him and his family. On March 13th, 2024 Jace was taken to express care for what his dad believed was just an injured knee. After doing an X-Ray doctor's were concerned with a spot between his knee and tibia. That same night Thomas, Jace's father drove to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. After many different scans and blood test they received the news that no family wants to hear. Jace has been diagnosed with Metastaic Osteosarcoma (bone cancer). After one round of chemo in Chicago Jace's case was transferred to the Children's Hospital in Peoria, IL. This is when they Learned that his cancer is stage 4. Jace has several spots on his lungs that doctor's are monitoring for the time being. Thomas is a single father who is the sole provider for his house hold and responsible for getting Jace to every appointment. During chemo Jace has to stay in the Peoria hospital for several days each round. Thomas has been very limited to days he can leave Jaces side and go to work. unfortunately, in these situations life, bills, and unexpected things do not stop. Family members of Thomas and Jace would like to help raise money to help with bills, travel, things Jace may need, and help Thomas to be able to purchase a more reliable vehicle to get Jace to all his appointments and chemo treatments in peoria and eventually to st.judes hospital in Memphis for an upcoming surgery.
