Help Purchase iPads for Children Battling Cancer
Donation protected
This Chanukah, we are raising money for iPads for children battling cancer.
On December 16, 2019 our lives changed forever. We will never forget that day at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital when doctors told us what no parent ever wants to hear, your child has cancer. The days and months following were a blur. Your world changes in the blink of an eye and you have to act fast, there's no thinking about the journey ahead. For Joey this meant countless hours in a hospital room, at doctors appointments, lots of waiting around, and lots of time away from real life. No child should ever have to experience it.
What made this whole journey easier on Joey was having his trusty iPad, gifted to him by his Uncle Eitan the first night he was diagnosed. Moving forward, this device helped Joey escape the situations he was facing during treatment. It also helped him stay up to date with schoolwork and keep in touch with his family and friends. He was never alone. That's why this year we have a goal of raising enough money to purchase eight iPads in honor of the eight nights of Chanukah. These iPads will be given to pediatric oncology patients at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital when they are first diagnosed. We hope this gives them a little comfort in the fight ahead.
Today, we are happy to report that Joey is doing well! He loves school, playing football, and hanging out with his brothers and family. We are forever thankful to the doctors, nurses, and our family and friends that got us here today.
