Help Our Friend Fight Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Dear friends, family, and community,

We are reaching out on behalf of a very dear friend who has recently been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), an aggressive form of cancer that requires immediate and extensive treatment. What was expected to be routine bloodwork turned into a life-altering situation, and she was immediately admitted to the hospital where she has been in and out of since. The news has been overwhelming, and as you can imagine, her life has changed overnight. As you can imagine, this news has been a shock to all of us, but most importantly, it’s completely upended her life. She’s facing a challenging journey of intense treatment, which will require her to be out of work for the next year as she focuses on her health and recovery. This journey will include numerous hospital stays, chemotherapy, and other treatments that will be both physically and emotionally draining. Our friend has always been there for others, and now it’s our turn to support her during this challenging time. We are asking for donations, no matter how big or small, to help ease her financial stress so she can focus on getting well without worrying about the bills piling up.

For personal reasons, our friend has asked to remain anonymous so that she can concentrate solely on her treatment without any added stress or attention. However, those of us who know her can attest to what a kind, strong, and generous person she is. She's always been there for others, offering her support and love in so many ways, and now it’s our turn to be there for her.

With the emotional and physical challenges of battling leukemia, financial worries should be the last thing on her mind. Unfortunately, the costs of treatment, daily living expenses, and being unable to work for such an extended period have created a significant financial burden.
