My family and I are facing a challenging time after our current home was declared uninhabitable due to a severe water leak that lasted over a month. Our landlord told us we could no longer stay, leaving us with no choice but to find a new place to live. With three young children—ages 7, 3, and 1—my wife and I are doing everything we can to keep our family safe and together. We have been paying out of pocket for hotel stays and meals while searching for a stable home, and the costs are quickly adding up.

We have been accepted for a new home that offers us a fresh start. It sits on over an acre of land, is ten minutes closer to my job, and is very close to the children’s grandparents, which will give us much-needed support. However, moving comes with significant expenses. We need help covering the deposit, first month’s rent, and the costs of a moving truck and storage. The urgency is real—we are trying to move in by Monday, October 20th, and we are unsure how much of our previous deposit we will get back.
